Basani has over ten years of financial services experience in the areas of corporate finance, private banking and private equity. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She is a non-executive director at African Bank Limited. Her key competencies include:

  • Structuring and implementation of BEE ownership transactions
  • Evaluation of businesses for investment purposes
  • Conducting partner selection processes
  • Corporate governance

Lebogang Letsoalo
Diploma Purchasing, BTech Logistics, MBA (Unisa) 

Lebo has a depth of expertise in consulting in procurement, logistics, capacity development, mentorship and coaching within supply chain. She was formerly a Vice President Supply Chain at Sasol, Executive Manager in Capital Procurement at Eskom and Senior Buyer at de Beers. Lebo’s key competencies include:

  • Conducting comprehensive cost-benefit analyses in relation to implementing ED
  • Developing supplier databases that will address the objectives of the specific businesses
  • Facilitating stakeholder workshops to assist companies to achieve their supply chain objectives
  • Facilitating implementation of procurement plans to ensure compliance with BEE, as well as claiming of the points from the relevant authorities

Christian Malan
BTech Mech Eng, PGDip Business Administration

Christian specializes in the sourcing, selection, operational and business development leadership, of industrial businesses. He was formerly Managing Director of Parker Hannifin Africa, the African subsidiary of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies. In his 17 years at Parker he led sales, engineering and operational units and numerous critical high value customer projects. Key competencies and highlights of Christian’s career include:

  • Successfully restructured Parker Africa’s local operation, improving productivity by 300% while growing revenue by 60%
  • Led a team in converting three of JCB’s production lines to Parker hose from a competitor. The most notable was the Backhoe line which ran at 76 machines per day at the time, value of $20m annually, and was certainly a severe test of capability in the face of all the challenges they overcame.
